“I wish I could” series

“I wish I could…” includes learning a skill or talent that you ‘wish’ you knew how to do.

These skills will be taught/shared on Saturday mornings at Shiloh community Church. The classes geared towards adult participants will be taught or information shared by non professional individuals who will share life skills or information they have learned along the way. It is all free and all you have to do is register on our website and show up on the date indicated.

 

The following classes have been scheduled and there will be more to come.

 

Use My Sewing Machine:  Saturday, October 9th, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

What to bring: Your sewing machine. If you want to learn more about sewing and don’t have a machine, please note that on the registration page and we will try to provide one for you to use during the class.

Did you buy or receive a sewing machine? Maybe you took it out of the box, but then decided it was a bit too daunting and you would figure it out later. Now’s the time! We will learn how to thread a bobbin, thread the machine and basic machine parts and use.

 

Eat Healthier:  Saturday, October 23rd, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

What to bring: A desire to eat healthy.

Don’t wait until January! Get a jump on the holidays and learn to fix some yummy healthy foods. This class will focus on Whole 30 as a healthy option.

 

Learn more about the CASA program:  Saturday, November 6th, 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

What to bring: A curiosity about CASA.

Want to learn more about Court-appointed special advocate (CASA) volunteers. CASA volunteers make a life-changing difference for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Each volunteer is appointed by a judge to advocate for a child’s best interest in court. Volunteers help judges make the most well-informed decision for each child.
